Say hello to the Galaxy A27 5G. This is a decidedly modest upgrade over the Galaxy A26 which focuses mainly on the design with a slight performance boost inside.
Up front, the Galaxy A27 is technically identical to its predecessor with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. What’s different is the way the selfie camera is integrated: the teardrop notch has disappeared, replaced with a cleaner hole. Samsung calls it the Infinixy-O display and says the bezels around the screen are thinner too.
The other big difference is the chipset chosen. The 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 brings a slight speed boost (10-20%) over the 5nm Exynos 1380 in the Galaxy A26. Samsung promises a more responsive device throughout the day.

The rest of the specs are very similar (if not slightly lower). You get the same 5,000mAh battery on paper, with 25W charging. As for the camera, there’s a 50MP wide-angle with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. There is a 12MP selfie camera up front. The phone is rated IP64 for splash protection, a notable step down from the Galaxy A26’s full IP67.
Samsung promises six Android OS updates and up to six years of security updates.
The Galaxy A27 will arrive on July 3 in black, blue, light green, and light pink. You can choose between 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB. We will update you on prices as soon as they become available.
