Samsung opened pre-orders of the Galaxy S23 after the launch of the series, and consumer interest was great in South Korea. According to local sources, pre-orders numbered 1.09 million, more than 7% more than the Galaxy S22 of last year.
It’s the highest number of pre-orders ever for a Galaxy S range in the Asian country, and only the Galaxy Note10 family has seen higher numbers, with nearly 1.4 million in August 2019.
Korean media reveals that 60% of all orders have been placed for the Galaxy S23 Ultra model. The vanilla Galaxy S23 accounted for 24%, while the Galaxy S23+ got the smallest share, which is around 15%.
For comparison, last summer’s Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 pre-orders failed to cross the 1 million mark.
