The US variants of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra appeared on Geekbench last month with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC expected to go official at the Snapdragon Summit between November 15-17. Now, the US version of the Plus model has also been spotted in the reference database with Qualcomm’s next flagship silicon.
The US variant of the Galaxy S23 + has model code SM-S916U and runs Android 13, presumably with One UI 5.0 on top. The smartphone has 8GB of RAM on board, but there will likely be more RAM options to choose from.

Samsung Galaxy S23 + US model on Geekbench
Despite having the same chipset and amount of RAM, the S23 + scored lower than the vanilla and Ultra models in Geekbench’s single-core tests, but scored higher multi-core. These are likely pre-production units, so we reserve our judgment until we get our hands on the retail units, which are likely to perform better.
That said, it’s still unclear whether the Galaxy S23 series will use the Snapdragon chip in all markets or if Samsung will use the Exynos chip in some countries.
