The Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to become the first Samsung phone to support faster 45W wired charging and the company is laying the groundwork for this with the launch of its new 60W charger.

It’s simply called the Samsung 60W Power Adapter (model number: EP-T6010NBEGWW) and has appeared on Samsung.com branches in various countries – all over Europe (e.g. Austria, Sweden, Romania), but also South America (Peru) and parts of the Middle East (Levant).

The charger has a USB-C port and supports super fast charging 2.0. It boasts low standby power consumption of just 5 mW. It supports the following standards: USB-PD (5V, 15V, 20V) and PPS (5-20V) up to 3A. However, AVS support is not available.

The older 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 adapter (EP-T4511XBEGGB) offered 3A charging at up to 15V and 2.25A at up to 20V, both limited to 45W.

Anyway, Samsung advertises that you can use its new 60W charger for phones, but also for Galaxy tablets and Galaxy Book laptops. Now, no current Galaxy tablet supports charging faster than 45W – perhaps the Tab S12 series will change that. However, the Galaxy Books feature 65W charging.

For safety purposes, the charger supports temperature protection, over-current protection and short-circuit protection. Furthermore, it is designed for low noise (electrical) operation.

In Europe, the Samsung 60W power adapter is priced at €53. It is only available in black.

PS. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will also have faster wireless charging, reaching up to 25W (compared to 15W on the S25 Ultra). The S26 and S26+ are supposed to support 20W wireless charging. The wired charging situation for the flagship S26 is not rosy, however.
