Samsung has released a video revealing the new features of the 200MP ISOCELL sensor, powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. There is no smartphone on the market with such hardware, so this is clearly a teaser for the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Here’s the 60-second video, and read on for a detailed breakdown of what’s inside.
Zoom Anyplace automatically tracks subjects in a video but also continues to capture full-frame zoomed-in footage of the entire scene. This means that the sensor essentially allows you to capture two 4K video streams: of the cropped area and one of the entire view, allowing you to change the framing once you’re done shooting. And it will work with both 2x and 4x zoom.
The feature is also said to automatically track subjects and keep them focused in real time as they move around the scene in any direction, including moving closer to the lens, all while maintaining 4K resolution.
E2E (end-to-end) AI Remosaic is a new way of processing images. Currently, the ISOCELL sensor processes photos sequentially: color by color, layer by layer. The new solution is parallel: color, tone, noise reduction, sharpness, HDR, demosaicing, white balance and lens shading correction will all happen at the same time.
This improvement will increase acquisition speed by double, reducing processing time and improving image quality.

Samsung said that all features are “for illustration purposes only,” but we believe they will be present on the Ultra because it has been confirmed that it will feature the new Snapdragon flagship chipset and a 200MP sensor. We’ll know if this is true at the next Unpacked, which will presumably take place in the first weeks of next year.
