The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 brought a huge leap in performance and improved efficiency, but now we hear its successor has even higher ambitions. A well-known whistleblower reveals that the next generation of Qualcomm’s flagship platform will include a new CPU architecture, significantly boosting clock speeds.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is said to have an unprecedented 3.7GHz premium Cortex-X4 CPU core, five powerful cores for performance and two small cores for efficiency.

According to Digital Chat Station the model number is SM8650 and the GPU will be called Adreno 750. Expectations are that TSMC will continue manufacturing the chips, moving from Node N4 to Node N4P, which is still a 4nm process technology but with a slight increase in efficiency.
The reason why TSMC is not opting for the 3nm process is the production cycle: N4P is good enough and cost-effective enough, and factories in Taiwan are ready to start mass production once the process is completed by the companies telephone.
