During this year’s Apple WWDC 2022, the company announced a host of new features for CarPlay users once iOS 16 is available. One such feature includes a convenient way to pay for refueling at a gas station.
Thanks to Reuters, we now have a little more detail on the cool feature. For starters, the feature will initially only be available in the US and the first gas station chain to jump on the bandwagon is HF Sinclair. They have more than 1,600 stations across the country.
A spokesperson for HF Sinclair says users should download the company’s app, fill in payment details, and from then on they can pay using the car’s infotainment system. The feature will likely be available after September, when iOS 16 is expected to be released.
