Tecno announced Spark Go 2023 with entry-level specs earlier this month and the company has finally brought the smartphone to market.
The Helio A22-powered device is already on sale in select retail stores in India priced at ₹6,999, which is around $85.
Tecno Spark Go 2023 is a slight upgrade over its 2022 namesake. The Mediatek chipset is paired with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage, although only the least powerful combination, 3/32GB, is on sale .
Despite having Go in the name, the biggest improvement is that it skips the Android Go platform and goes to the big boys club with Android 12 and HIOS 12 on top. The screen is once again a 6.5-inch LCD with 720p resolution.
The battery is 5,000mAh and supports charging speeds of 10W via the USB-C port. The CEO of Tecno India said in a press release that the main aim of the phone is to “offer distinct features to first-time smartphone users”.
