Welcome to the year 2025 and the first installment of our trend chart. As we prepare to start the first full week of the new year, we see a phone above that will likely be there more than a few times over the next 52 weeks.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t make its official debut for more than two weeks, but it’s already the most talked about smartphone on our site.

Right behind it we have one of the first smartphones to be announced in 2025: the Redmi Turbo 4. We strongly suspect that its international version called Poco X7 Pro, which will be introduced on January 9, will do at least as well next week.

In third and fourth place we have the popularity champions of 2024: Galaxy A55 and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro came in fifth, ahead of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max and its stablemate, the vanilla Redmi Note 13.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 returns to eighth place, while the Honor X9c enters the rankings in ninth place. That phone has just been introduced to the European market, but with a different name: Magic7 Lite.

The final place goes to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, concluding our first week ranking. There are already some interesting announcements lined up for the next few weeks, so it will be interesting to follow which ones make it into the top 10. Keep watching this space!
