The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max arriving later this year were rumored to feature a periscope lens, but reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said only the Pro Max model will feature a periscope lens. Now a Twitter user @URredditorwith a pretty solid track record, he also said that only the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a periscope camera.
The source didn’t reveal anything else about the periscope module. And when asked if the camera layout on the iPhone 15 Pro Max has changed, they replied, “Not really.”
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max
According to previous rumors, the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s periscope unit will have 6x magnification, which is three times the optical zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 12MP telephoto lens.
We’ve also heard that Apple has partnered with LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics to source 70% and 30% of the OIS actuators for the periscope module, respectively.
