Microsoft is testing a new addition for Windows Insider in Dev and Beta channels, offering better integration for iPhone users. The new addition adds a side panel to the start menu, allowing you to quickly see the battery status of your iPhone, the messages and access calls to your iPhone, as well as a quick switch for file transfers. These features were already implemented for Android users, so it’s nice to see them get to iOS.
Access for iPhone directly from the Start menu (Windows 11 Insider preview Build 4805)
The new features are gradually launching on Windows 11 users who perform the latest preview of the BUILD 4805 insider or higher in the beta channel and also require the telephone connection version 1.24121.30.0 or higher. Connected PCs must support Bluetooth Le and an active Microsoft account to work. Microsoft should bring this new functionality to the normal Windows 11 buildings in the coming months.
