The iQOO Z6 series has long been available in India, but now the vivo sub-brand has brought it home to China as well. However, the iQOO Z6 smartphone announced today is very different from its international namesake, with one of the notable changes being the 80W fast charging.

The Chinese iQOO Z6 is powered by a Snapdragon 778G + paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Storage is 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1, but there is no microSD slot.

Looking at the front, we have a 6.64 inch LCD with Full HD + resolution, refresh rate up to 120Hz and touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut to 100 % and can reach a maximum brightness of 650 nits. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side, built into the power button.

There are three cameras on the back: 64MP main with OIS and f / 1.79 lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro cam. The front has an 8MP sensor and is mounted on a teardrop notch.

The battery of the iQOO Z6 has a capacity of 4,500mAh and takes only 10 minutes to reach 50% charge by reaching the maximum speed of 80W. The phone packs an advanced cooling system that promises to lower the CPU temperature by 13 degrees.

This iQOO Z6 for the Chinese market launches Origin OS Ocean based on Android 12. It is available in Golden Orange, Blue and Black colors with prices starting at CNY 1,699 ($ ​​250). Sales begin September 1 at all major online retailers in China.

The Z6x also has a 6nm chipset but this is from Mediatek, a Dimensity 810. The RAM here is either 6GB or 8GB and is of the LPDDR4X type, which means slightly slower speeds than the Z6. Storage is a bit slower too, as it’s UFS 2.1 but still 128GB or 256GB.

The screen is a 6.58-inch LCD with a teardrop notch for the 8MP f / 2.0 camera. The fingerprint scanner is on the side, also acting as a power button.

There are two cameras on the back here. The main has a 50MP sensor and an f / 1.8 lens in front, while the secondary is a 2MP macro shooter.

The huge battery of the Z6x is limited to relatively modest charging speeds of 44W.
