Google is working on a new Gemini model that will use the search chronology for better customization. This was revealed today through a disassembly of the last beta of the Google app.
As the screenshots show below, this will be called “Gemini with personal context” or simply “customization” in the model selector at the top.

Gemini customization model
It seems to be opt-in, at least initially, and if you do, promise to offer “personalized help based on your Google search chronology”. Google underlines that only this particular model will be connected to the chronology of your research if it allows it.
During the use of the model, you can also disconnect it from your story as shown in the screenshot on the right. This model seems to offer accurate results based on your research chronology, at least if you ask him something very obvious how to show you your story or if you ask him specific things you have searched for.

Gemini customization model
Of course, this will be even more useful if it can incorporate the chronology of your research in answers to more general questions, since given your access to your story it should “know you” and customize your answers specifically to you. This is our assumption, at least, but it remains to be seen how Google will position this model once it will be official, which could happen very soon.
