Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold5 on July 26, and today we got a hint that it could cost more than last year’s Fold. Pricing in Greece for the 256GB version will be €1,999, and taking into account the higher VAT in the Mediterranean country, the leaflet’s price should be €1,899 elsewhere in Europe.
However, this is still €100 more than the Z Fold4 which launched with a price tag of €1,799 last August. The same will happen with the 1TB version, which will cost €2,299 in Greece and around €2,199 in the rest of Europe.

The Unpacked event will also be the stage for the debut of the new Galaxy Tab S9 series. The more powerful Tab S9 Ultra is expected to start at €1,399 in Greece, and we could see a price hike with the tablets as well. For comparison, the Tab S8 Ultra was introduced in February 2022 for 1,150 euros.

The new tablet should be equipped with a 2X Dynamic AMOLED panel. It will keep its 14.6-inch diagonal with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels and its slim 5.5mm profile. It should have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, Android 13 for tablets, with the latest One UI on top.
We also expect to see a huge battery, 45W charging and possibly improved cameras, although we doubt they’ll get much use on a device that’s 32cm tall and 20cm wide.
