Satellite connectivity on smartphones seems to be the next big feature and a new leakster report WhyLab suggests that the upcoming vivo X100 Pro could come with satellite messaging. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently certified the X100 Pro (model number V2309A), and one of the coolest features on the spec sheet is two-way satellite messaging. According to the new report, the X100 Pro will be able to transmit and receive texts, images, voice recordings and even videos in areas without Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity

Based on the new report, the X100 Pro will feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chipset and a separate Unisoc V8821 chip that will handle satellite connectivity. Previous reports suggest that the X100 Pro will feature a 53MP 1/1.43” primary sensor.

The main shooter will be complemented by a 50MP portrait lens (IMX758) with 2x optical zoom and a 64MP periscope module (OmniVision OV64B) with a 100mm equivalent lens with 0.7µm native pixels and f/aperture 2.5.
The vivo X100 series is said to launch in China next month with three members ranging from the X100 to the X100 Pro+
