After looking at the most popular reviews from Q1 and Q2, it’s time to recap which Q3 phones piqued your interest.

Top 10 Most Popular Reviews of 2022: Q3

Let’s kick things off with some of the obvious entries in the list, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. Samsung’s foldables always generate a lot of hype, especially the larger Fold family and the Fold4 was no exception. Following its announcement on August 10, we quickly set to work revising it, and you, in turn, have been paying close attention. However, it is noteworthy that the Galaxy Z Flip4 did not make it into the top ten. It was close, but still tells the difference between the audience of the two phones.

The other obvious entries in the list are Apple’s new iPhone models. Well, most of them, that is. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have both gotten their fair share of the spotlight. The vanilla iPhone 14, however, is not in the top 10 reviews in the third quarter. He’s not even in the top 20. Apparently, he hasn’t gotten as much love as his siblings. As for the iPhone 14 Plus, although it was announced on September 7 along with all other iPhone 14 models, it went on sale a little later in October and its review reached the fourth quarter, where managed to get into the top 10.

Now, for some less obvious phones on the list, the Nothing Phone (1) has managed to really ignite the hype train. Whether or not it lived up to that hype and managed to garner massive sales is a different story.

The Asus Zenfone 9 had the opposite story. It has never been more hyped or aggressively advertised, but has still managed to garner quite a bit of interest thanks to its unique nature as a compact flagship.

Speaking of compact flagships, the Xperia 5 IV also fits that description. Albeit with an unusual 21:9 aspect ratio. The Google Pixel 6a is another compact device to make the list. It’s got that familiar Google AOSP and computational photography prowess, so it’s no surprise that it’s gotten the attention.

You can’t have a top 10 of everything smartphones without Xiaomi. The Chinese giant is the strongest when it comes to well-balanced mid-range devices and the Xiaomi 12 Lite fits that description perfectly. But there was also the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, a beastly cameraphone that had people all over the world talking even though it never left China.
