The 2022 FIFA World Cup will begin in less than two months, with Qatar being the host. For the second consecutive World Cup, the football federation collaborates with vivo, which will be the official smartphone partner during the event.

The partnership was announced yesterday during the launch of vivo X Fold +, a day that coincided with FIFA’s 118th anniversary.

This year’s partnership will place the vivo logo in major commercials such as sideline panels, interview board and other visual representations. In return, the company will provide “industry-leading” flagships to FIFA World Cup staff to complete preparations and “increase successful attendance” of the tournament.

This partnership is another step for vivo on its global journey, helping it achieve greater brand recognition. Since 2014, the company has expanded to more than 60 countries and regions, and with its appearance in Qatar, it expects to reach a global audience of 5 billion, including 400 million active vivo users.

vivo also partnered with FIFA during the Arabian Cup in Qatar last year, as well as with UEFA for Euro 2020 (which took part in 2021 after being postponed due to COVID-19).
