The vivo S17e quietly appeared for sale on the company’s website today. The full lineup of the S17 has yet to be announced, but the launch is said to officially take place in exactly one week, on May 31st.
The new smartphone has a high-end screen but a mid-range Dimension 7200 chipset, as well as two cameras, only one usable on its own.
The front of the vivo S17e is all about the 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED with 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It has curved sides and a fingerprint scanner at the bottom, while the top has a hole for the 16 MP selfie camera.
The rear carries a 64MP main camera and a 2MP auxiliary shooter that assists background blur in portrait shots.
The phone has a 4,600mAh battery that supports 66W charging via the USB-C port on the bottom. It runs on OriginOS 3 on top of Android 13 and supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity.
The vivo S17e is offered in three colors: gold, blue and black, the first two have a clean sand design developed by the new three-layer coating technology.

The phone is already on sale. The 8/128GB memory configuration is CNY2,099 ($300/€275), the 8/256GB choice is CNY2,299 ($325/€300), while the 12/256GB version is CNY2,499 ($355/€330).
S-series e-phones rarely escape China, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for the S17 and S17 Pro which are likely to go international as part of the V family.
