Today vivo hosted an event where two impressive new midranges were presented: meet vivo V25 and vivo V25 Pro. The former is equipped with a 50MP selfie camera with AF, while the latter has a 6nm chipset, a main cam from 64 MP and other high-end specs.

vivo V25
The vanilla variant runs on Dimensity 900 with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Both memory variants can be expanded with an extra 8GB and the storage options are 128GB or 256GB.
The screen is a 6.44-inch AMOLED but the fingerprint scanner remains on the side, built into the power button. It comes with HDR 10+ support, 90Hz refresh rate, and 1080p resolution.

The vivo V25 series is aimed at young people who love vlogging and taking pictures, which is why the vanilla phone has a 64MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro. The selfie cam is 50MP with a lot of AI algorithms so that the object can appear a little clearer.
The phone, being a global variant, comes with Funtouch OS 12, based on Android 12 – we have yet to see OriginOS outside the domestic market. The vivo V25 battery is 4,500mAh with support for 44W FlashCharge.

Other specs include Dual-mode 5G, the latest Wi-Fi standards, Bluetooth 5.2, and a relatively light body of 186 grams.
The back panel is available in Aquamarine Blue, Sunrise Gold and Diamond Black and while all three have Fluorite AG Glass, only the first two change color like their vivo V23 predecessor.
Prices and availability will be communicated at a later stage.
vivo V25 Pro
The Pro member of the family is equipped with a powerful Dimensity 1300 chipset and a larger 6.56-inch AMOLED display, which is also curved, while the fingerprint scanner has found its way under the panel. The maximum refresh rate here is 120Hz while the resolution remains 1080p.
The configuration of the main camera remains the same as its non-Pro sister: 64 MP main with OIS (and EIS), 8 MP super wide angle and 2 MP macro. The selfie shooter, however, was downgraded to 32MP but retained the autofocus feature.

The vivo V25 Pro also has Funtouch OS 12 and all the latest and best connectivity options, including all major 5G bands. On the software side, vivo has packed with fancy features like Super Night Video and Vlog Movie that allow users to make better videos for their social media accounts.
The phone is a bit bigger and heavier than the vivo V25, and it comes with a 4,830mAh battery and a 66W FlashCharge.

Again both Blue and Black color options have Fluorite AG Glass, but only the former can change its appearance in UV light and direct sunlight.

The 8/128 GB option is INR35.999 (around $ 450), while 12/256 GB will set you back to INR39.999 (around $ 500). Pre-booking starts today, August 17th, while availability is scheduled for next Thursday, August 25th.
