vivo launched the Y35 in August with the Snapdragon 680 SoC and 44W wired charging but no 5G connectivity. Well, now it has unveiled the 5G variant of the Y35, which is powered by the Dimension 700 SoC.
The vivo Y35 5G is built around a 6.51″ LCD with a waterdrop notch like the 4G model. However, the screen resolution is reduced from FullHD+ to HD+, as is the refresh rate, from 90Hz to 60Hz.
The camera systems are also different. The Y35 4G features a 50MP triple camera, while the Y35 5G sports a dual camera setup comprising 13MP macro and 2MP macro cameras. For selfies and video calls, the vivo Y35 5G has a 5MP front camera, unlike its 4G counterpart with a 16MP shooter.

The vivo Y35 5G also charges slower than the 4G variant (15W vs 44W) but has the same battery capacity (5,000mAh). Another difference between the two smartphones is that the Y35 4G launched with FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 11, while the Y35 5G launches OriginOS Ocean based on Android 13. However, both versions have a fingerprint reader fitted laterally, a 3.5 mm headphone jack. and a USB-C port.
The vivo Y35 5G is available in black, gold and blue colors and has three memory options: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB priced at CNY 1,199 ($170/€160 ), CNY 1,399 ($200/€190) and CNY 1,499 ($215/€205), respectively. It will be sold in China via vivo’s official Chinese website, but nothing is known about its availability in other markets.
