Another week down, this one culminating in a Black Friday madness, so let’s recap. Vivo has unveiled the X90 series, starting in China. The vivo X90 Pro+, X90 Pro and X90 share many similarities but also some differences: the flagship X90 Pro+ has a 50.3MP 1.0-inch main camera, a 64MP 90mm 3.5x zoom, a 2x 50mm and a 48MP sensor. ultrawide, as does a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The X90 Pro shares the 1.0-inch main camera and 2x telephoto lens, but lacks the 90mm zoom and has a 12MP ultrawide. Both the X90 Pro and X90 use the Dimension 9200. Both also integrate 120W wired charging. We look forward to international availability.
Oppo’s Reno9 series also arrived this week with a similar sounding live roster: Reno9, Reno9 Pro and Reno9 Pro+. The Pro+ has a Snapdragon 8= Gen 1 and a triple camera, while the Reno9 Pro has a Dimensity 8100-Max and the Reno9 has a Snapdragon 778G. All three phones will launch in China on December 2 with international availability coming later.
Honor’s 80 series is also official with the Honor 80 Pro, Honor 80 and Honor 80 SE. Honor 80 Pro and 80 have 160MP main cameras and Qualcomm processors: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for Pro and Snapdragon 782G for Vanilla.
Speaking of the Snapdragon 782G, it was made official again this week. It’s basically a Snapdragon 778G+ with a 200MHz faster CPU, which promises a 5% increase in processing and 10% in graphics.
