Many manufacturers have entered the leaflet market, so it finally seems that there are many options available. Leaflets aren’t cheap yet, still a few years away, but there is competition, which will help bring prices down and polish the rough edges of early models.

Honor announced the start of the global launch of Magic Vs at MWC, the Oppo Find N2 Flip went global in February, Tecno unveiled its first foldable, the Phantom V Fold, OnePlus confirmed it is working on a foldable, Realme is teasing its own project, Google will finally stop delaying the release of Pixel Fold and so on. Of course, there are also the perpetual rumors of a foldable Apple.

Even though Samsung still dominates the market, things are starting to change. There is competition even now and it will heat up significantly before the end of 2023.

Does any phone have the right features at the right price for you to experience the new form factor? And if you’ve already bought a leaflet, how did it go? Vote below or using this page.

In the previous survey, we lumped all foldouts together, but we suspect most of you are only interested in one form factor: landscape or portrait? Most manufacturers have focused on the larger horizontal phones, such as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, Honor Magic Vs, Oppo Find N2, Tecno Phantom V Fold, vivo X Fold+ and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (and Huawei phones too).

Folding flips are still pretty rare, though the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Motorola Razr 2022 are no longer alone. There’s the Find N2 Flip, plus vivo and OnePlus who are presumably working on vertical foldables alongside horizontal ones. It’s unclear which way Realme will go, but Samsung will definitely release one of each.

Note that Apple’s first foldable is said to be a tablet rather than a phone. That market is relatively untapped, unless you count foldable laptops like the ThinkPad and Zenbook (but even then, such devices are rare).

So which form factor do you prefer? Assuming you gave an up vote in the poll above, of course. Vote below or using this page.
