Xiaomi certified the Smart Band 8 at NRRA Korea and the listing came with photos, revealing key details about the wearable. The images reveal that the device itself will stick to the pill-shaped design, but for the first time, the band will be in two pieces rather than a rubber ring.

It’s not the first time that Xiaomi has implemented this solution in its wearables: the Redmi Watch 3 and the Smart Band 7 Pro also had two-piece straps that needed a small fastening mechanism. However, this is the first time that the budget end of the company has gotten the new solution.
As for the specifics, the NRRA hasn’t said anything about the band. However, given that the Smart Band 8 is actually picking up certifications in markets around the world with the model number M2239B1, the launch should be just around the corner.
