We subjected the Xiaomi 14T Pro to our rigorous SBMARK Battery test suite to measure its performance in terms of battery life, charging and efficiency. In the results of these tests, we will analyze how it performed in a series of tests and in several common use cases.

The solid battery performance of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is mainly due to its excellent charging experience, which is fast and efficient.

A single charge gave the device enough juice to run for more than two days when used moderately, which is below average compared to other phones in our global database, but slightly above average compared to devices in the premium segment. The Xiaomi 14T Pro’s battery life was better than other phones in its segment when gaming and watching videos, but was just average in other uses.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro’s charging experience was exceptional, taking 21 minutes to reach 80% full charge using the 120W wired charger and 35 minutes with the 50W wireless charger. A quick battery charge of 5 minutes allowed us to recover an average of 9 hours of battery life, which places the Xiaomi 14T Pro among the best performers.

While the device’s wired and wireless charging efficiency were good, the overall efficiency score was affected by rather high discharge currents in most use cases, with the exception of gaming and video streaming.

How the efficiency score is composed

The SBMARK Energy Efficiency Score is composed of two sub-scores, charging speed and discharging speed, which combine both data obtained during a typical robot-based usage scenario, calibrated tests and charging evaluation, taking into account battery capacity of the device. SBMARK calculates the annual energy consumption of the product, shown in the graph below, which is representative of the overall efficiency during a charge and when in use.
