Despite numerous reports that a remake of the classic Bioware title Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is on the way, the game has not yet been officially announced. But now we know the studio behind the KOTOR remake is Aspyr, thanks to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier. He talked about it in a recent interview with MinnMax, which you can watch below.
So far, the KOTOR remake looks like it could go either way in terms of quality. While Aspyr has done a great job of bringing classic games like Star Wars: Republic Commando to modern consoles, their record is otherwise rather insignificant.
It also doesn’t appear that Bioware is involved in any way. And the fact that this is going to be more of a remake than a remaster means that there are many different ways this title could end up as a much worse game than the original KOTOR.
