Wondering what you will be playing this weekend? Thanks to Steam, two tactical shooters are free to play until Monday: Beyond the Wire and Nine to Five.
Beyond the Wire is a Redstone Interactive shooter set during the First World War. The highlight of the game is the 100 player battles that help bring the fighting frenzy of WWI to life. Between terrifying field charges and grueling trench wars, you can enjoy the wide selection of fantastic factions, maps and weapons.
You can play Beyond the Wire for free on Steam until Monday, May 24 at 10am PT / 1pm ET. And if you really like it, the game is available for a 35% discount during this same window.
Nine to Five is a tactical shooter unlike most you’ve played before. Instead of focusing on large-scale battles, the gameplay involves three teams of three players. Each team has their own missions, and the outcome of player actions in the three stages of the online games will influence what happens in each stage.
Plus, goals can change quickly as you play. In other words, this game requires you to use your head more than your crazy mouse and keyboard shooting skills.
Developer Redhill Games has offered access to this game in a closed beta once. But since then, the game has been improved in almost every way. Before you can play it, though, you’ll need to request access during this beta weekend. After that, you will have until Monday 24 May to play it.
Will you be playing any of these titles this weekend? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
