I'm seeing the same - The app is also asking for a forced update with the new splashscreen. This may be an outdated mod.

Does this have ban protection?

Side note: I was having issues with this as I run emulation on PC via emulators. Oddly all I had to do was change the 'handset' the emulator was based on and it worked. I used a Pixel 3 as the device for emulation in the end. May be worth trying if anyone emulates on PC.
