🕹️ My 2nd place prize, an Atari 2600++

I took 2nd place in the German annual Atari 2600 festival with my game, 2600 Roguelike.
The prize, an $80 Atari wristwatch.
The problem, a $580 shipping fee from Germany to the North America.
The solution, ask me if it was okay for them to surprise me with a local gift.
They impressed me today when I received a custom Atari 2600++
It is a modern mix of Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Plus, and all in a custom theme case.



I checked. There are 3 other controllers available representing other ghosts.
Not cheap, but I will likely add them eventually.

An Atari Flashback I purchased years ago.
I was so pissed when I received it.
Box, Flashback 6.
Manual, Flashback 5.
Device, Flashback 4.
Also, it didn't work and they wanted more to send it back than I had paid.
Considered a flop. Many were recalled. I stuck mine in storage and forgot about it until today.
A bit of cleanup, some soldering, and new AV cables and it is running.

Today, my publicist informed me that someone representing Wade Rosen had contacted the casing manufacturer for contacts related to several recently made games.
Wade who?
Seems Mr. Rosen recently took over as CEO for... Atari, and they are considering buying a few games including several of my own.
If it works out, it would be the first time in 14 years since Atari has carried my games.

Over the past few days I have been doing many updates and repairs around my home.
I didn't constrain this to only survival items.
I managed to make some modifications to some of my Atari equipment.

3 models of Atari on voice command HDMI receiver.
All 3 share a 13 inch RCA flat screen TV without having to fuss with wires or switches.
Atari 2600 Vader 1979 with a Composite and now HDMI mod on ch1.
Atari 2600 VCS 2025 modded on ch2.
Atari 2600 ++ 2026 special 45th Anniversary Ed. modded on ch3.
