An Indie gem
Review:
Story:
A Ride into the Mountains tells the story of a boy names Zu who's family has guarded a relic deep int the mountains, trying to protect it from evil.
One day however it seems that the monsters, who weren't allowed to find the relic, managed to reach it.
So You (or Zu) grap your bow, get on your horse and decide to get the relic back.
Gameplay:
The fighting system and controlls are surprisingly fun - you sit on your horses back and kill monsters/demons by shooting arrows at them with a bow.
Not all of those fights are easy - there are boss enemies aswell - which is a good thing, otherwise the game wouldn't be challenging at all.
The mechanics work smoothly.
You can shoot/ controll how the arrows are
supposed to fly.
There are also different upgrades/bows available.
Graphic/Soundtrack:
The Game has a stunning soundtrack and pretty visiuals!
(The visiuals however- are only something for people that don't have anything against 8-bit/ Pixel like games)
Conclusion:
A ride into the mountains basically feels like a Scene out of a Ghibli Movie/ Princess Mononoke.
It has a beautiful soundtrack - pretty visiuals (if you like the style) and the mechanics are just fun.
It is totally worth the price!
(And I'm sure a lot of ppl would be willing to pay even more for this little indie gem)
