Martin....Lawrence!!!!!!....Ugh!
Review:
Sigh! Okay, I literally just now finished watching this movie, and seriously though...if I don't get this off my chest, I'm gonna punch a hole in a freaking WALL!!
First off, let me try to do a little something here....
Bad Boys - Great movie! Martin & Will complimented each other perfectly. Not as good as Eddie and Arsenio, but they gelled nicely. Nothing obnoxious or over the top. Great action movie.
Bad Boys 2 - For some stupid reason, they decided to take the chains off Martin Lawrence. Nothing but idiocy from one end of the movie to the next, but Will made it work, even though the GARBAGE brought by Martin made it uneven. Nice action....blah blah blah.
THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! - I could barely sit through this thing, because LITERALLY every single time Martin opened his mouth or was even on camera it made me want to grab my computer and punch it in the FREAKING NADS!!!!!!! This dude ruined this entire movie.
Starting from the beginning, in my opinion, the movie started fast. A little TOO fast. I found myself playing catch-up for the first 30 minutes or so, and every time I thought I got a hold of what was what, Martin showed up. Ugh! The opening scene was pretty cool, when everybody ended up at the hospital, and seeing who the father of the baby was definitely put a ribbon on the whole thing. Fast forward to Martin and Will in a foot race. You know, I didn't have a problem with this....UNTIL I remembered this clown Martin was freaking 750 pounds and just looked like a disgrace to WHATEVER he was trying to portray. Even though their little race lasted about 3 seconds, it made me mad, because all I could think about was how slim and in shape this dork was in the first movie. Anyway, Will gets shot, and I can't lie, I seriously thought he was going to die (mainly because I never watched any trailers for the movie to know whether or not he was in anymore scenes). The part that ticked me off about THAT was THE WRONG ONE GOT SHOT!! Fast forward to the hospital and Will is out like a light. Martin is in a chapel and even tries to ruin THAT atmosphere with the dumb things he said. Ugh!
Fast forward to Will trying to find out who shot him. Things go haywire, person after person gets shot. I found myself getting mad at Will for not just doing as he was told and staying out of the way, because everything he touched got destroyed. The captain he taken out...and that was the most anti-climactic piece of crap I think I've seen in a very long time in ANY movie. This guy played major parts in EVERY Bad Boys movie, and they just hit him in the neck with something like he was some innocent bystander with no backstory. Even his funeral was a sort of "okay, lets just get this over and done with so we can move on" moment. WHAT??!!

Anyway......
It is virtually impossible to rate this movie without being angry at this clown Martin. Absolutely every time he was on camera he makes you scratch your head and wonder why the hell this dude is even IN this movie. If they would have slimmed him down about 200 pounds and brought back the Martin from the FIRST movie, this movie would have been KILLER! But nooooooooo......the absolute BEST comparison I could give to his character was PETER DAMN GRIFFON!!! That's right, Peter Griffon. If you think I'm exaggerating, just watch the movie for yourself and listen to nearly everything he says. Who the hell has an OUT LOUD conversation about killing someone's son on a crowded airplane? Who in the hell has a debate about making a deal with God while holding a damn CANNON on a bike in the middle of a shootout about not being violent anymore AND THOSE ARE JUST THE MILD THINGS!! This dude ruined this entire movie for me. They could have easily made this movie a solo mission without him and it would have been way better.
The father-son twist was really cool. Then here comes Martin to ruin a really nicely mapped out backstory about the killer being his son by chiming in about Will Being intimate with a witch....ugh!
By the way, about that car chase.......Storm Troopers are best left for Star Wars....that's all I have to say about that....I'm sure you could figure that out.
The last fight at the end had real emotion attached to it. I really liked it. Everything about it made sense. And then......Martin started talking. Even the freaking bad guy told this dude to shut the hell up. Not gonna lie though. I was kind of mad the mother died. I wanted the both of them to live so that there could be some sort of back and forth in the end to add more to the story and their history together.
They kind of teased either ANOTHER movie, or a spin-off (Fast & Furious-style) at the end with Will's son in prison. After this dumpster fire, I heavily doubt I'll be watching another one.
Would you recommend this to other users? If you're a Martin Lawrence fan, you're gonna love this movie...........that's not a compliment by the way
