Kasami's writing contest got a fair amount of attention from the forum and was actually fun to do. I thought the forum could capitalize on this success and create a new way to earn SB points: create a weekly writing contest like Reddit's writing prompts. For example, every week have a different theme: sci-fi, fantasy, drama, etc and at the end of the week, the best entries are rewarded some SB points, like 200SB for 1st place, 100 for 2nd and so on. This could be a good way to increase activity and at least for me, it's very fun and satisfying to write about different themes.

I have a question though. How long would the written stories have to be?

I agree with this suggestion. Since I like to write stories but didn't have enough knowledge to write a novel. I once wrote a fanfiction before but didn't finish although I manage to get a substantial amount of loyal readers and collections.

Likewise, I started writing a story, but stopped after only writing the first few chapters at about 10 000 words I think, even though I had the whole story planned out with a great idea. I don't even know why I stopped writing in the first place, I really like reading books and that led me to writing, but then I lost the motivation to achieve this and didn't have the time to write anymore. So maybe this will grant me the motivation to go back to finishing my story.
