A St Bernard dog with rabies terrorize, a woman and her son.
Review:
Stephen King is one of the best writers, especially regarding horror.
A little background on this book;
Stephen King wrote this book while he was heavily under the influence of drugs, and he doesn't even remember writing the book.
Readers must know that this book doesn't have chapters in it, my copy is around 300 pages and is read in a single go, there are instances where you might find a gap between lines and this indicates that the location or subject has changed otherwise there are no visible breaks
In the beginning, when you first meet the dog Cujo you instantly love it because it's a sweet dog but all of that changes when he's bitten by a bat that is infested with rabies, and through the book you'll be able to see through his thoughts as it slowly losses its sweet characteristics to become this monster of a dog.
The book also gives out a claustrophobic feeling when the mother and son are both trapped in a car for most of the book and what they did to last as long as they can while a dog monster is right outside their door.
The book also loves to give out background stories to the characters in the book, it's a way to make you care for them and be invested in the story a bit more, some you wish would be a victim of Cujo others you want for them to be as far away from that monster.
there are some frustrating parts where it all could have ended if the characters did what they were supposed to do, but we wouldn't have a book without them.
Would you recommend this to other users? If you love a horror story with limited characters and an atmosphere that makes you uncomfortable, you should read this book.
It was a fast read to me and the absence of chapters makes it easier for you to not want to stop.
