Name of the movie you are reviewing: Dune
Paul Atreides, the main character, had an interesting ability. He could see visions that he had never actually seen before. He frequently has visions of a girl, that he later meets. The visions can be confusing at times but are very interesting. The first vision he experiences when he was awake was due to exposure to spice, which is a very valuable and important thing in this story. People who live in the desert are called Fremen and have bright blue eyes due to their frequent exposure to spice. There is a lot of tragedy and sadness for young Paul, but he pushes through and moves on. He overcomes a lot by the end of the movie.
Review:
I had never watched the original movie or had previous knowledge of any kind before I watched it. The movie is very long but very interesting. The beginning was kind of slow, but when the movie truly starts to move, it gets very interesting. There were many interesting characters brought in for only a short time and I wondered why they even put that in. It becomes clear later on, when these people turn out to be important or the knowledge, however small or seemingly insignificant, became useful. I was confused several times, but quickly thought it out. I am slightly peeved at the cliff hanger ending, but found the rest of the movie to be very interesting with wonderful graphics. The graphics were amazing. If I didn't know that some of this stuff was fake, I could very easily believe that it was real. There are several things in the movie like giant worms and space ships that looked very real.
I watched it with my family and they all agree it was a good movie. They knew more about it than I did though, as I did not watch the original movie. They told me a few things about the backstory that were not in the movie that I thought were very useful and should have been included in the movie. I found the movie to be very fun to watch with my family and an overall good experience.
Would you recommend this to other users? I definitely would recommend it to others as it was a very good movie.
