Changing all the terrible decisions or cringey choices I made, or maybe preventing an accident for happening is more worth it than looking into the future is my take on it.

If I am only allowed to see and not be able to interact with anything, then I would prefer to see my future. There would be no point on going back to the past, if I can't change anything. Looking in to the future would be more beneficial to me than looking back in to the past.
