Name of the app you are reviewing: Monster Hunter Stories
One of the best high quality games that ever come to mobile. Highly addictive and guaranteed replay values.
Review:
I think by this time even a casual gamer would recognize Monster Hunter title. The name has spawned many franchise across all kind of gaming peripherals, and now has finally made its way to mobile with Stories.
Unlike the main series, Stories has you take on the role of tamers instead of hunters. This time, you get to tame all those monsters you used to only fight, and have them accompany you in battle. Yes, it's as exciting as it sounds. The game utilizes rock paper scissors system in combat and you are rewarded for strategically observe and plan your move. Then we have gene system that allows further customization of your monsters. With proper build, you can have your monster that's normally weak become a powerhouse that could challenge even the mythical fatalis.
The game has numerous ways to entice backtracking and collectibles that further strengthen your team. Once you clear the mainstory, you unlock post content and "hirank" that's basically upgraded version of monsters. Defeating and taming them gives better drops to craft better weapons, and better genes to slot. Along with additional dungeons and quests that feature brand new monsters you can tame with a surprise at the end of the line.
Overall MH Stories is a very enjoyable game and guarantee to have you sink hours trying to master it. The story is a bit anime cliche and weak, and admittedly Navirou being stuck on you at all times could get on your nerves when you are gathering and he keeps being paranoid. But if you look past these mild annoyances, you're going to find yourself a premium experience well worth your time.
Would you recommend this to other users? Definitely, yes.
