Description
Samsung A80 is the latest brand of A in the family of A's. ψ(`∇´)ψ
Joking aside, this thing boasts an infinity screen, so there's no pesky camera that would hinder you when you go full on gaming mode whilst horizontally holding thy phone.
Here are the specs and I shall comment on each aspect based on my experience with this phone for the past few months.
"Body: 165.2x76.5x9.3mm, 220g; Gorilla Glass 6 back, aluminum frame; Angel Gold, Ghost White, Phantom Black color schemes."
I got the ghost white frame and now my phone blends in with my wall, neat. This phone is about the size of the A70 one (My previous phone) but would look larger side by side because of the infinity screen.
"Screen: 6.7" Super AMOLED, 1080x2400px resolution, 393 ppi, Gorilla Glass 3."
This phone really has a crisp HD resolution and my goodness, my games had never looked so... Crispy. Side by side with its previous adoration, A70, there's not much difference in resolution.
But the one thing that sets it apart (and makes it better than the previous A's in my opinion) is the lack of a front camera. Sooo many times had I played a game before where my character suddenly stopped moving because my damn finger had sliiiiid into the front camera, and thus, had not registered the movement, and my character stood frozen amidst enemy lines and promptly died. Well, not any more! For there's no front camera that would hinder thy finger and so you'll get to enjoy all of its full screen glory.
"Chipset: Snapdragon 730 chipset: octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver); Adreno 618 GPU."
As you can see, this is no gaming phone. But it can still run most games on a high graphic setting and causes no lagging or high ping. But it is not as powerful as the latest Iphone or Samsung Galaxy S11 or s10+.
"Memory: 8GB RAM, 128GB built-in storage; no microSD slot."
Now this is where my main critique comes from. The 'no microSD slot' can be a huge turn off to some. But as of now, my phone has multiple games and almost 600 photos and only took up 48GB with plenty space for more. But one day, I know that this phone would be overloaded and I would greatly be disappointed by the lack of microSD slot. So I will leave this bit as a matter of taste.
"Camera: Motorized pop-up camera assembly. Main module: 48MP, 1/2.0" SONY IMX586 Quad Bayer sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 80-degree FOV (26mm equiv. focal length), laser/PDAF. Ultra wide module: 8MP, f/2.2 aperture, 123-degree FOV (11mm equiv. focal length), fixed focus. Time-of-flight 3D Depth camera. LED flash."
NOW THIS! This is where Samsung A80 shines! The camera flips depending on whether you want to take a front photo or a back photo and thus your selfies can look as good as your scenic shots. The camera produces amazingly good photos.
"Battery: 3,700mAh; 25W fast charging.
Connectivity: Dual-SIM; LTE Cat.11 (600Mbps/75Mbps), Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS; Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE, USB-C 2.0."
It has the same battery and connectivity specs as A70 so I won't get too detailed on this. Basically, battery can last 24/7 if you don't use Youtube that much.
"Misc: Under-display fingerprint reader, down-firing loudspeaker, no3.5mm audio jack."
This is another thing you have to note, the audio jack and the charging station are one and the same. So you can't charge your phone whilst listening to soungs through your wired headphones. Maybe that could be a blessing in disguise so you won't wear down your battery too early.
Overall, its a good product. But side by side with the Galaxies, this one can be an inferior product. Although the camera is definitely one of the best cameras Samsung has produced in this line. If you like taking pictures, particularly selfies, then get this one.

Things I like
The camera is a definite win for someone who likes to take photos. The infinity screen is refreshing. The resolution is amazing plus I could play games relatively smoothly.
Things I don't like
The lack of SD card slot baffled me as this was presented as a "Camera Focused" unit but for some reason they decided not to add more memory support. The headphone jack and the charging station are one and the same and this annoys me a bit as I was used to charging my phone whilst listening songs with my headphones.
Overall Ratings:

Verdict
Yes, if you really like taking selfies and front videos.
