The most memorable scene that i remember is from The Shining when the danny see 2 strange girls. Both are standing in the hallway of the hotel. Their appearance looks like quiet and innocent but the scene feels like extremely creepy. Danny becomes frightened as they invite him to play with them. The empty hallway makes the moment even more disturbing. I remember this scene because it creates fears that doesn’t need much action. It is one of the scene that stays in our mind long when we finish the story.

From the 1920 silent film, Nosferatu, to any modern day book or film, a lifetime worth of such moments in horror exist, however, only one sums up that feeling of the impossible happening right in front of you for all your senses to deny but cannot.

Having A Boo Radley Moment.

A reference to the character of Boo Radley in the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," a "Boo Radley Moment" is when a person is astonished at the sight of something or someone excessively strange and/or rare to the point it shatters their sanity.

Seeing a zombie of a loved one rise from the grave.
Paralyzed by horror while watching a vampire rip your girlfriends neck out.
A mummy shot full of hole that keeps coming for you.
A headless man riding upon a fire breathing horse.
Your husband chasing you with an axe.
Your best friend turning into a demonic wolf.
Witches cooking your sister alive.

For the disbelievers who have witnessed the impossible horror...
Each and every one experienced a Boo Radley moment.
