League of legends' strategy game, Teamfight Tactics, comes to mobile!!! A 8 player free for all auto battler where making the best team composition out of the champions given to you is the key to victory!
Review:
Teamfight Tactics is an incredible game with a lot of depth in its core gameplay. Let us start with the battle board. There are 8 "Little Legends (players)" trying to create their best team possible that will help cement their spot in first place. Each round players get a set amount of "Gold" to buy from a selection of 5 champions. At first you are limited to how many champions can be on the field at a time but it is possible to spend gold to reroll or purchase xp to level up your Little Legend. As rounds progress, you can find copies of the champions you have to power them up. 3 copies of the same 1 star champion promotes them into a 2 star champion, while having 9 copies of the same 1 star champion promotes them into 3 stars!
As you build the team, you will notice there are champion classes and origins, having champions from multiple classes/origins open up more synergies for players to use and take advantage of! For example, the Dark Star origin powers up other champions of Dark Star as your Dark Star champions fall in battle, eventually creating a super powerful giant that can 1v9 the enemy team.
Not only are there classes and origins, but as each game progresses, neutral waves (called creep waves) drop items which further power up your champions when you equip them. The options are limitless!
There is absolutely no pay to win here, every game starts with everyone on the same starting point. How you strategize and build your team composition is the key to victory.
If you are interested in cosmetics, there are tonnes of cosmetic options for your Little Legend, from skins, arena skin, emotes, and even the finishing laser where your Little Legend blasts your opponent off the screen when you win! These cosmetics unfortunately must be bought with real cash however, but the current Galaxy Battle Pass provides insane value as it rewards players as they play.
There is just one caveat I have with this app, it is quite power draining and requires a pretty powerful phone or tablet to operate. However if you are still interested, there is a PC version that even a potato computer can run. If you wish to play with friends on mobile or pc, it is completely cross platform so you can play with mobile users on PC and vice versa.
Would you recommend this to other users? If your phone is able to run this app, then by all means, yes! The app is completely free and there are no down sides to trying it out!.
