Name of the app you are reviewing: The trail

Basically, you walk long trails of varying length that are broken up into camps where you can rest. You can trade with npcs at the camp or craft equipment, items or food with the resources you gathered during the trail.

Review:
TLDR;
This is how I looked before playing this game :
:D
This is how looked after playing this dissapointment : :'<

I went from excitedly logging in to play the game to wanting to shriek from every fiber of my being when I see this game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me just say that I should've expected the tragedy that is this game. The signs were there. I just chose to live in denial and lived to REGRET it. *sigh* First, the pros.

1. The Visuals
It's honestly so beautiful. You can just walk along the trail and gaze at the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, basically everything. The devs may have done goofed on many parts of the game, but this? They nailed this.

2. Controls & Sound Effects
Loved em'. The controls are simple and easy to grasp. The SFX just sound so satisfying. If perfection exists, this would be just a notch below it, because I simply refuse to call any part of this game perfect.

3. Gameplay
It's fun to explore and quite addicting. And you can make apple pie :D. (I kid you not, that's my favorite part of the entire game.) It has a very peaceful atmosphere, though it can get pretty lonely, especially when you become aware of the fact that you're the only real person and everyone else are npcs, even Tom, the person that you walked with, traded with, even stole from; the friend you've been through thick and thin with. :(

CONS

1. Bugs
Let's first address the absolute behemoth in the room: the bugs. MAN, THE BUGS. This game is an abandoned heap of wasted potential that is crawling with bugs that make the game virtually unplayable. If you go on the Google Play Store and check the reviews, I can guarantee you that at least 6 out of ten complain about bugs. I will now rank those bugs in order of most common to you're alone in this bub.

*Out Of 25 3star reviews*
the numbers at the side show how many people experienced it

i) White or black screen of death (colour doesn't matter yay) 8
ii) Items float in midair after being crafted (and when you restart the game, it dissapears along with the resources you used to craft it) 5
iii) Freezes and crashes randomly 5
iv) Lag spike 4
v) Minor bugs ( not specified) 4
vi) Game file got erased after switching devices cuz
cloudsave faulty 2
vii) Items take a life of their own and jump out of the
bag, never to be seen again 2
viii) Game display doesn't fit phone display due to size
2
ix) Tasks go poof, making them uncompletebale 2
x) Glitching underneath the map 2
xi) Can't interact with items 1
xii) Trail doesn't have any resources 1

The devs have already abandoned this game, so don't expect updates nor fixes. Also, considering the sheer amount of people who have complained about the cloudsave problem (not just 3 star reviews), please don't make in app purchases, and if you do, don't expect those purchases to carry on in your save if you ever decide the make the ungodly decision of switching your saves onto another device.

2. Gameplay (ironically)
Didn't I just gush about the gameplay? Well, yes'nt. It is fun to explore and very addicting... at first. It's all fun and games till' you reach Eden Falls. When you reach Eden Falls, the game just tells you explore again to grind for items you need to upgrade or build houses. It becomes a constant grind to chop wood, hunt animals, gather resources, rinse and repeat. And when you become mayor, you have to pay your own in game money to kick out dead accounts to encourage people to be active.

They should have marketed this as a board game, because it certainly was boaring. (sorry)

Plus, the trading system is super unbalanced. When trading, you throw out stuff on the conveyor belt to get chits. Other people can buy your stuff, and you can buy other people's stuff. You just get the default amount of chits you would've gotten if nobody buys your stuff. The person that gets the most chits once the timer runs out will get a prize. (usually a very useful and expensive accessory).

But you see, you could be trading a wooden bird you crafted that sells for a decent amount of chits, and then TOM over here, he be rolling in dough man, throwing out valuable stuff you could never hope to get, much less BUY, and he's throwing them out like they're dirt on the pavement. Like, seriously Tom? I thought we were friends...

Also, lots of effort, but little payoff. Sometimes trails will have nothing, literally NOTHING, but eats your stamina all the same. The further you get on the trail doesn't mean SQUAT cause you don't get anything other than recipes (which half the time you won't even be able to craft due to limited resources. And once you've gotten all the recipes, the game will be all like :"Welp, good luck and byeeee" , and LEAVE YOU TO ROT, like how the developers did to this game.

Also also, equipment deteriorates too rapidly. ITS SO FRAGILEEE. You have to constantly waste your precious resources on SHOES so you don't end up walking slower than your wifi.

I swear once when I dropped it, I half expected it to shatter into a million pieces.

This isn't a bad game. On the contrary, it's one of the better games I've played. But the dissapointment and frustration I felt when playing this game far outweighed the actual fun I had with it.

Would you recommend this to other users? If you want a buggy, chances-are-you-won't-even-be-able-to-open-this-game-but-if-you-do-you'll-probably-have-fun-till-Eden-Falls game, then this may just be the right game for you. Don't buy in-app purchases. You might be scammed.

This game,
Is such a shame,
Didn't live up to its name,
Brought dishonor to the gaming community,
I'm sad. :(

As Bo Burnham would say, this is a good bad game. 3/5
