War of the Gods is based on a world where people believe the Gods are "dead" ( well, most of them anyway). Cultists sacrifice people as an offering to Thanatos, the God of Death. This is a game where you can play more than one character.
Review:
This game is short but amazing. You can play the game through the viewpoint of 6 different people (if you want to), and they are customizable. These characters have their own backstories, own set of abilities of powers, their strengths and weaknesses, and they have their own plot, and the different characters meet each other, each of them coming from a specific background linked with a God (like a Sun Child is linked with Solaron, the God of life and sun, like Zeus from the Greek Pantheon.
My favourite character choice is the Sun Child, a being who is nearly in vulnerable in the day (remind you of someone?...), BUT has a terrible curse (they say), after midnight they are immobile and weakened until the Sun is up, and every year their memories are wiped and they said up not knowing who or what they are. But their skIlls and muscle memory is kept. They say this curse was the result of a very powerful spell that had a tremendous and harsh price that included the whole Solorian Race (the MC's Race).
There are also stats that determine your character's abilities. Like strength will allow you to lift a cultist and throw them across a local bar because your meal was interrupted ( never tried that...) And fight a group of cultists to defend a child in a different bar (or that either...). But you don't have to worry about that witha mod made by Phytoplankton.
Would you recommend this to other users? I would recommend it for you if you like branching stories that don't consume much time. If only this was larger would I be able to say it's perfect for the fantasy lovers out there (yep, I'm looking at you)
