She sets her cup down on the table and looks forward. "It is alright, I don't mind talking about it. Liam was a king long before hell broke loose here. We were married and we had a young child. She was very ill, but never let her illness keep her from experiencing life as a normal playful child," she laughs fondly. "But one day her illness took her. Shortly after that a few of her childhood friends were playing in the woods just outside of our old kingdom. A witch came and kidnapped the children from the forest. He and I both went to get them back, and our second in command betrayed us by conspiring with the witch. In the end, Liam traded himself for the children and he has since been trapped in a time loop forced to repeat the same moments over and over. Only his prison is the day our daughter was taken from us. We have tried to free him several times, but the spell is too powerful. Once, we managed to break the surface to communicate with him, but when we spoke to him he told us to stop trying. He wanted me to move on with my life because he made his sacrifice. He has resigned and accepted his fate, but that is something I simply cannot do. I have made the best of our situation and done what I can to create a safe haven for those who need it, but I refuse to stop attempting to hunt down the solution. The witch was killed before we could get any answers from her. However, we did discover that Liam can hear and see his surroundings here in this world just as the timeloop ends and begins again. It's a terrible fate, but I am doing my best to free him without compromising my people," she explained sadly.
