Redmi India started teasing the launch of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ in the country on January 5 last week. It was unclear at the time whether he would be all alone on stage or joined by other members of the Redmi Note 12 family.
Now, it is clear that the Redmi Note 12 Pro will also launch in India at the same event, as a teaser campaign is now in full force on Redmi India’s Twitter account.
Both of these models were initially unveiled for the Chinese market at the end of October. A vanilla Redmi Note 12 has also been launched over there, as has the Discovery edition Redmi Note 12, which features 210W wired charging. It’s not yet clear whether or not any of these will make the trip to India.
Redmi Note 12 Pro teasers focus on whether it has OIS for the main camera. The Pro is basically the same phone as the Pro+, only the latter’s main camera is 200MP instead of 50MP, and the Pro has 67W charging versus the Pro+’s 120W. The Discovery edition is a Pro+ with a 4,300mAh battery (up from 5,000) and 210W charging.
They all share the same 6.67″ 120Hz OLED touchscreen, the helming MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro shooter, a 16MP selfie snapper, and all run Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top .
