According to the Kronic portal, the scam in question was concocted by a 21-year-old boy. Which then it turned out that in his home he had a gun without a freshman and a few grams of narcotic cannabinoids. Beyond that, the scam he launched is about fake receipts to buy a smartphone. Let’s see what it is.

Facebook scam: fake smartphone receipts

In recent months we have seen many scams, like the one on Whatsapp which is one of the most dangerous for the account. Today’s one, however, concerns the online purchase of a smartphone that has been or paid for with one false receipt, and then try to sell it on the same site. The criminal was later discovered and framed by the police of the San Paolo police station, alerted in a timely manner.

The victim then revealed to law enforcement officers that some time before falling into the scam he had put his cell phone up for sale. And to do this he had decided to use the platform Facebook Marketplace, useful for those who want to sell an item. The smartphone had sent it to an address in Ostia with the price agreed with the buyer of 650 euros.

Only later did the victim realize that she was being duped and for this reason she decided to pay attention to the receipt, to understand if it was true or not. On that occasion, she realized that the receipt was false. He later found another ad in which the smartphone he had sold himself was being sold after he managed to recognize the Imei code in the photo.

At this point he had decided to arrange an appointment at the Pyramid station. At that point the policemen also showed up and managed to stop the criminal. They did it just as he pulled the smartphone out of his jacket, which was then confiscated. What is sure is that you must always pay attention, even if the platform seems to us the safest.
