Fall Guys was a multiplayer hit across multiple platforms, including PlayStation. But the game is getting a new launcher that will allow players to re-download the game to continue playing after May 9th.
Why the need for a new launcher and a new download? Simply put, the developer Mediatonic had previously used Sony as a publisher. Now, Epic Games will be the new publisher and that calls for a new game launcher.
Don’t worry, though – all game progress you’ve made and costumes you’ve unlocked will carry over. And speaking of costumes, you will receive a free shark costume once the transfer is complete.
The new launcher will actually arrive on April 5th and players will see the old launcher icon disabled. A new launcher icon will be available and you will only be able to use the new launcher to launch the game after May 9th.
Rest assured, however, that the gameplay should be the same, with just a few behind-the-scenes tweaks to help the title play better. And after you get the new launcher, you are free to delete the old content to make space on your system.
