Visual
Halo 5: Guardians looks pretty good. It doesn’t look good, but it looks good. I was playing this game on Xbox One S and found that on every single mission there were some examples of slow frame rate and it seemed to have a hard time populating environments fast enough. At times this didn’t bother me, but at times it was very jarring. These issues didn’t necessarily affect gameplay. I have never felt lost due to frame rate or graphics slowdown.

Also, the rooms could have taken a little longer in the oven. Each mission looks quite similar to the last one. Sure, there are “snowy” areas, but the structure for each area is built very similarly. For example, there are large open spaces and narrow corridors. They dress them up differently, but they look a lot the same, especially after hours of gameplay.
Final verdict
At the end of the day, Halo 5: Guardians is a solid choice for any Xbox owner. If you have Game Pass, you need to catch up on every entry in the Halo franchise. Master Chief is kind of like yours Mario. This game won’t blow your mind, but it’s worth your time. The loss of Bungie to the franchise may be felt, but Halo 5 doesn’t look dead. The stakes of this rumor seem low, but not all games need to have a stake for the end of the universe. In fact, having a really tight side story was really refreshing, even though I had to google some aspects of the plot to remember what was going on in the world!
