Replayability
What is the replay value of this game? Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag.
You are forced to play several times at various levels to level up. But once you’re strong enough, those first few levels will feel like a joke. And while it’s fun to tease guys who stomped on you, that fun subsides pretty quickly.
Of course, you can always level up the different characters. And with six playable characters, there’s a lot to keep you busy and many unique endings to unlock.
But once you get tired of that, there’s not much to go back to except some really boring extra game modes and the online mode (which just lets you play with people online).
Final verdict
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition (what a mouthful)? Absolutely!
While it’s not a perfect title, it offers a ton of entertainment for an MSRP of $ 14.95. It has sweet graphics, a killer soundtrack and a lot of variety in terms of enemy and level design.
If you’re already a Scott Pilgrim fan, grabbing this title is a breeze. And even if you’re completely new to the franchise, this title is successful as a throwback fighting game that you won’t be quitting anytime soon.
