The Google Messages app seems ready to change and in a completely surprising way: the last option changes everything.
In recent weeks, Google has been focused on giving its messaging app a makeover. This is very used since it is found on every device that mounts Android.

The world of text messages today is not made up of the usual messages that are sent by paying with credit or subscribing to a telephone offer. There are also the RCS chats that allow you to send messages via mobile data or Wi-Fi connection. And it’s right up this tool that the developers of Google are focusing.
The new implementation has been traced to the latest beta version of the Google app, number 20230615_02_RC00. This version showed how they are going to render more easily traceable RCS chats.
Google, RCS chats change: in this way they will be more traceable
Google’s intention is to give its message app the ability to make chats that use RCS technology more visible on the main screen. The improvements highlighted by the experts mainly concern 2 aspects:
- The presence of a new indicator that allows you to immediately reach the RCS chats;
- A visible badge that will be placed in the lower right corner in the list where there are RCS conversations;
These measures will allow users to trace these chats as quickly as possible. Google’s goal with this decisive change is to make the user know how to distinguish RCS chats from SMS chats. Currently, the only way to tell if the chat supports RCS is to open the conversation.
As of now, this feature is not available and there is uncertainty about the release date to the general public. The only certainty is represented by the fact that this option will arrive in the coming months and will allow users who use RCS chat to be able to locate them easily. This new change is paired with the one that emerged in April in which it was tested the read receipt in the chat list. Again, this is an unavailable option.
Therefore, Google is working to give its users something new and very important. This context includes the announcement, which took everyone by surprise, made by the American giant a few weeks ago, which concerned a change on passwords.
