IO Interactive, the developer behind the stealth game, has confirmed that owners of Hitman 2 on PC will be able to play at the levels of the title in the upcoming Hitman 3.
Previously, the studio had released conflicting information on the process of playing previous levels on PC. This is largely due to the fact that Hitman 3 will launch exclusively on the Epic Games Store, a platform on which Hitman 2 is not available.
This means that those who had previously purchased Hitman 2 on Steam would have had to purchase the Access Pass in order to play the game’s levels in the sequel.
The Access Pass will be 80% off on PC for the first two weeks following the launch of Hitman 3. Anyone who purchases the new title within the first 10 days of release will have access to all 2016 levels of Hitman at no additional cost.
However, console players will get all previously available levels in Hitman 3 as long as they own the previous titles on the same family of platforms.
Hitman 3 will launch on January 20 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
