Marvel’s Avengers tachyon anomaly event kicks off on April 22

Last month, we took a good look at the long-term plans for the Marvel’s Avengers game during the Square Enix Presents live stream. And one of the biggest events for Marvel’s Avengers starts next week.

The Tachyon Anomaly event starting on Thursday 22 April will allow players to do something many dream of. They will finally be able to create teams made up entirely of the same character.

This also applies to online matchmaking. It is possible that you can take your Captain America into an online battle alongside three other players rocking red, white and blue. But there is a time limit for this type of fun – the Tachyon Anomaly event will only last until May 3rd.

As an incentive for players to join in the fun, there will be weekly quest chains offering special Hivemind gear. This is in addition to other great loot that you can receive as part of some special daily missions.

Don’t worry if you are relatively new to the game. Tachyon Anomaly Avent is open to level 1–100 players. Lower tier players can get a big boost from the special cosmic tier event gear that helps characters regain health. This is invaluable against some of those more difficult enemies and bosses.

Finally, fans of some characters can purchase hero-focused nameplates on the market. From April 22-29, fans can purchase nameplates for Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Hulk. And from April 29 to May 6, the badges will be available for Iron Man, Captain America, Ms. Marvel and my favorite heroine, Kate Bishop.

The Tachyon Anomaly Event is the first major event in what appears to be a year of interesting content. Over the next few months, players will be able to check out a Red Room Takeover event and a Cosmic Cube event as well as a fantastic patrol-like Patrol mode in Destiny 2.

There is no doubt that this is a lot of interesting content for both gamers and Marvel fans. But the jury has not yet decided whether this will be enough to attract many new players or lure back players who previously walked away from the game.
