Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Gameplay Trailer Gives Us A First Peek At New Female Character Rivet

The Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay trailer is now here. And the trailer reveals that the mystery character the developers have been making fun of is an interdimensional female Lombax named Rivet.

In this trailer, we see the Nasty Emperor opening a portal to another dimension. He insists that this is a dimension in which he “will always win”. This is the same dimension that Rivet comes from.

Beyond that, the trailer mainly focuses on Rivet meeting Clank and treating him as a companion. And it seems that players can control both characters as they navigate very ambitious environments in this dark dimension.

We don’t know much else about Rivet right now other than the fact that alternate outfits will be available for her as part of the Digital Deluxe update.

Later this week, Sony will be giving a progress presentation focusing primarily on Ratchet & Clank and offering 15 minutes of new gameplay footage. The live stream will take place Thursday, April 29 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 11.
